Privacy Policy

Inferro is built privacy-first. This policy is short because there isn't much to say.

What we collect

Nothing. Inferro contains no analytics, no telemetry, no crash reporters, and no advertising SDKs. We — the developers — never receive any information about how you use the app.

Where your data lives

On your device. Chats, projects, providers, and settings are stored in a local SQLite database in the app's sandbox. They never leave your device unless you explicitly export them.

Where your messages go

Only to the AI providers you configure. When you send a message, Inferro forwards it directly from your device to the provider's API endpoint — OpenAI, OpenRouter, your self-hosted vLLM server, whatever you've set up. We do not proxy, log, or intercept this traffic.

Each provider has its own privacy policy — please review the policy of every provider you connect to.

API keys

API keys are stored in the iOS Keychain via expo-secure-store, never in plain text and never inside the app's database. They are sent only to the matching provider over HTTPS.

Tools

When you enable tools (web search, fetch URL, file access), the AI may trigger HTTP requests on your behalf. Those requests go to the search engine and web servers you configure — never to us.

Want full privacy? Run your own.

Inferro never relays your messages, but the providers you connect to do see them. If your data is sensitive, the only way to keep it fully on your turf is to run inference yourself — vLLM, Ollama, SGLang, llama.cpp, LiteLLM. Inferro is built to make this easy: HTTP-on-LAN works out of the box, VPN ranges are supported.

Legal basis and data residency (GDPR / nFADP)

Because Inferro processes no personal data on our infrastructure (we have no infrastructure: no servers, no databases, no log aggregators, no analytics pipelines), the GDPR provisions on legal basis (Art. 6) and the Swiss revised Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP / revDSG) provisions on processing lawfulness do not apply to us.

Your data residency is therefore wherever your phone is. Inferro is published from Switzerland 🇨🇭 by B&G Digital Services GmbH.

Children

Inferro is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children.

Your rights

You can delete all your data at any time: Pro mode → Settings → Reset App Data, or simply uninstall the app.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC / EDÖB) — Feldeggweg 1, 3003 Bern, www.edoeb.admin.ch.
